*we will wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party come 2015 election.
Former governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, Saturday said he has forgiven his enemies and detractors and called on the people of the state to move en masse to the All Progressive Congress (APC) to bring an end to bad governance in the state.
He also said the APC was determined to bring change in the country and wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party come 2015 election.
Addressing mammoth crowd of APC supporters in Sokoto Saturday, Bafawara maintained that he had forgiven all those that offended him, especially those behind his travails in the past.
“I have forgiven all those that offended me,” he said. “I have forgiven all my enemies and detractors. No matter what, I cannot fight with my younger brothers because those currently at the helm of affairs were previously under me in the state.
“So, my preoccupation now is for us to build party structures in all nooks and crannies of the state and join hands together to bring an end to bad governance in the country.”
According to him, all what happened in the past had become history, hence the need for supporters to unite and join hands together by promoting the party at the grassroots.
Bafarawa emphasised that he joined APC not to acquire power but to join hands with progressives to bring an end to bad leadership in the country.
He averred that the APC would not victimise anybody in the state if it acquires power but carry all along to move the state forward.
He advised prospective aspirants to forgo their ambition and redouble efforts to build the party at the grassroots.
“I am appealing to all aspirants in APC to drop their ambition at the moment and intensify efforts to build structures at the grassroots.
